Rio de Janeiro State Treasury Office extends again validity of tax clearance certificate

Due to the social distancing measures, the public bodies are expanding the effects of acts previously enacted in order to aid in the fight against the Covid-19’s pandemic.

In this context, following the rules already established by Rio de Janeiro’s State Decree no. 47,027/20 – which, in its turn, extended the effects of State Decree no. 46.973/20 – the State Treasury Office published the Ordinance no. 142/20, which extended the validity of tax clearance certificates of Rio de Janeiro’s State taxpayers for 90 days, provided that the certificate was issued after 03.20.20. The certificates issued before that date will have their validity extended until 05.22.20.
