Data from COVID-19 pandemic in the State of São Paulo points to a lockdown
Due to the worsening of coronavirus pandemic in the State of São Paulo, public administration is studying the adoption of more severe restrictions. According to news published in the media, social isolation rates have not reached satisfactory levels and the hospital network for the care of infected people shows signs of exhaustion.
These facts point to the imminent possibility of a lockdown decree by the Government of the State of São Paulo. The term is informally used to designate the imposition by the State of more severe restrictions on locomotion and the development of economic activities, with the imposition of sanctions in case of non-compliance.
We are closely following up the discussions and, as soon as we have news about Government’s movements, we will carefully assess the restrictions imposed to identify possible incompatibilities with the guarantee of continuity of essential services and activities. Then, if necessary, we will discuss the assessment in a Webinar to analyze any lockdown acts and, if applicable, the measures to be adopted.
We are available to everyone for any guidance and / or clarification.
