The Minister of State for Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, signed, last Friday (07/24), Ordinance No. 102, which institutes the “Infra + Integrity” seal. The certification is intended to reward companies that operate in the land transport infrastructure sector and that are known to develop good governance and integrity practices, demonstrating their commitment to transparency in their management. This includes commitment to compliance, social responsibility, sustainability, and preventing fraud and corruption. The initiative was created with a view to encouraging the implementation of integrity programs by companies operating in the transport infrastructure sector, in addition to spread awareness of their role in fighting illicit and unethical practices in the market. In this sense, Minister Tarcísio Freitas will propose, within up to 120 days, an administrative act establishing the “Seal Management Committee” and defining the structure, composition, duties and functioning of this Committee. According to the Ordinance, companies interested in obtaining the certification must apply between February 1, 2021 and April 30 of each year. The seal will last for one year and the companies contemplated will be able to disclose it in their portfolios, documents, information materials and institutional websites.
