Brazil: Income Tax Reform approved by The Chamber of Deputies on 09/02/2021. It will now be sent for consideration of the Senate

On 09/02/2021, the Plenary of the Chamber of Deputies approved Bill of Law 2,337/2021 (PL 2337/2021), which relates to the tax reform of the Income Tax and the Social Contribution on Net Profits.

The legislative house confirmed by phone that the consolidated and final text of PL 2337/2021 has not yet been officially released. Despite this, considering the relevance of the matter; the text approved by the deputies on 09/01/2021 and that official news on PL 2337/2021 have already been published by the Chamber of Deputies News Agency, we prepared, based on this information a new comparison of the main aspects of the original Bill of Law and of the Bill of Law approved by the deputies on 02/09/2021 (unofficial wording).
 
As soon as the final version of PL 2337/2021 is published by the Chamber of Deputies, we will review it and if there are relevant changes, we will prepare a new legal alert on this matter.
