AGU Publishes Notice of Adherence to Debt Settlement with Federal Agencies and Foundations

On October 4, 2024, the Federal Attorney General’s Office (AGU) published Normative Ordinance No. 150/2024, which regulates the extraordinary transaction in the collection of non-tax active debts of federal public entities and foundations, provided for in Article 22 of Law No. 14,973, of September 16, 2024, through adherence to the “Desenrola Program”.
The period for joining the program is from October 21 to December 31, 2024.
The transaction notice, which will provide more details on the procedures for joining, has yet to be published.

The “Desenrola Program” offers the possibility of paying non-tax debts under favorable conditions for taxpayers, allowing for both installments and discounts, that can vary between 5% and 70%, depending on the taxpayer’s profile and the length of time they have been registered as outstanding debts. Payments can be made in cash or in installments over up to 145 months, as described below:

We will monitor the publication of the notices related to this regulation, but in view of the discounts offered, we recommend already evaluating possible opportunities to settle these non-tax debts.
