More details
On October 15, CNI, with the support of Firjan and Fiesp, released the document “Circular Economy in Practice: Implementation Guide According to the ABNT NBR ISO 59000 Series”, with the aim of helping companies to successfully implement circular economy practices.
The guide presents a methodology for industries to establish goals and strategies aimed at product circularity in practice. It also sets out guidelines for establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and measuring the progress of circularity within companies, including methodologies for collecting data and evaluating results.
The document was created in accordance with the National Circular Economy Strategy – Enec, which is part of the New Industry Brazil – NIB, the Federal Government’s industrial policy.
The CNI has also published the “Maturity Route” tool, which allows companies to carry out a “self-evaluation test” in order to check their level of adoption of circular practices and receive personalized recommendations.
The goal is to make the transition to a production model that reduces the use of resources, minimizes environmental impacts, promotes the reuse of materials and innovation.
