Professional Experience
Vitor Stern joined the Firm in 2024 and integrates the Transactional practice group, with focus on advising domestic and foreign clients, including publicly traded companies, on local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, asset sales, joint ventures and other corporate transactions in various industries. He has more than 15 years’ experience working in complex and land mark M&A deals and has extensive know-how in respect to multijurisdictional transactions.
Work abroad
He has worked as an international associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, one of New York’s most prestigious law firms, in 2016 and 2017.

Vitor holds a Law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and an LL.M. from the Law School of the University of Chicago.

Acquisition by British Petroleum of 50% stake from Bunge in BP Bunge Biocombustiveis;
Acquisition by Solví of the control of Cetrel from Braskem and the formation of a joint venture between the companies focused in industrial waste management;
Several acquisitions by Edenred/Ticket Soluções, including the acquisition of toll solutions company Greenpass, meal voucher company Coopercard and the acquisition of transportation voucher company RB Beneficios;
Restructuring of Steinbruch Family assets, to segregate such assets among family branches, including the controlling block of CSN;
Privatization of Copel Telecom and the acquisition by Copel of wind power generation farms from Voltalia and from EDPBR;
Sale of Giga Atacado to Cencosud;
Investment received by Nelogica from Crescera/Vulcan investment funds;
Investment received by Banco Topázio from Ebanx;
Acquisition by Klingele of a paper mill from Klabin;
Acquisition by Intermarítima of the port terminal owned by Gerdau Aços Longos located in Bahia and formation of a joint venture with Salinor – Salinas do Nordeste S.A. to develop a port located in the State of Rio Grande do Norte;
Sale by Vale S.A. of Vale Cubatão to Yara;
Sale by Vale S.A. of Vale Fertilizantes to Mosaic;
Investment made by Blue Like an Orange (BlaO) in the investments in Rede Decisão (education sector), Investfarma (retail pharmacy sector) and Solinftec (agriculture digital solutions sector);
Gripmaster Indústria, Comércio e Soluções em Borracha Ltda., LGN Distribuidora de Pneus Ltda., and Gripmaster Rubber Ltd. on the sale of 100% of their quotas on the respective companies.
