Deadline for adjustment to the Conversion of Fines Program at the federal level is extended

Federal Government published, on January 03, 2020, the Federal Decree No. 10,198/2020, extending the deadline related to the Conversion of Fines Program at the federal level. That way, those who have expressed their will to participate in the program under Federal Decree No. 9,179/2017 will be able to reiterate their interest and make the due changes established by Federal Decree No. 9,760/2019 until July 06, 2020.

The Conversion of Environmental Fines Program enables violators to have an up-to-60% discount on the fines issued against them by IBAMA and ICMBio, depending on the modality of conversion the violator has chosen (direct or indirect).
