Joaquim Muniz appointed as Managing Partner at Trench Rossi Watanabe
Joaquim Muniz is the new member of our Executive Committee. Effective from July 1, Muniz, who is also the esteemed head of the firm’s Arbitration group, will join forces with Simone Musa and Claudio Moretti to lead the firm as its managing partner. This strategic move is set to enhance the firm’s leadership dynamics and fortify its position in the legal industry.
J. Roberto Martins, a distinguished member who has contributed significantly over two terms in the past six years, continues to fortify the firm’s client service excellence as the lead partner of the Energy group. His tenure on the committee has been marked by insightful leadership and steadfast commitment to advancing the firm’s strategic objectives in the energy sector.
Joaquim expressed his profound gratitude for the recognition of his extensive career, stating: “Since I started my career at the firm in 1999, I have had some very significant experiences alongside several colleagues. Now I’m pleased to bring my expertise and strategic vision to the firm’s management,” he says.
Trench Rossi Watanabe’s governance stands out for its differentiated and innovative management model, with the division of top leadership between three managing partners, who are elected by an assembly. In this collegiate structure, the partners do not have to give up their day-to-day practices. “What’s more, as a board, we have the advantage of thinking together and sharing actions with the partners, which can lead to more articulate and strategic decision-making. I’m happy, in this new stage, to be able to continue the excellent work that Roberto has done alongside Simone and Claudio,” says Joaquim.
