Ministry of Economy announces definitive shutdown of SISCOSERV
On August 17, the Ministry of Economy published a note on its website announcing the definitive shutdown of the SISCOSERV system. According to the note, the intention is to reduce bureaucracy and facilitate the business environment in Brazil, in line with the recent Economic Freedom Law.
Back in June of this year the Government published Ordinance 25, which suspended the deadline of the SISCOSERV reports during the period between July 1st and December 31st, 2020.
According to this recent note issued by the Ministry of Economy, the companies will no longer need to file the reports after the suspension period.
We highlight that the definitive shutdown of SISCOSERV system has not been formalized yet. According to the Ministry of Economics, the required legislative changes will be published in the upcoming weeks.
